Essential hygiene items are in need daily at the Van Buren Center for women, men, and families experiencing a housing crisis. The Van Buren Center provides guests at the shelter with Hygiene Kits and individual hygiene items.
We always need individual hygiene items, so if you are interested in supporting the Van Buren Center, we encourage you to consider organizing a drive for individual items or Hygiene Kits.

What are Hygiene Kits?
The Van Buren Center provides each guest who enters the shelter with a Hygiene Kit during the Intake process. During Intake, a person or family completes the required paperwork and receives a Hygiene Kit and bed roll. The Hygiene Kit ensures that every person gets all the essential hygiene items they need. In addition, the Van Buren Center stocks the Single Adult and Family Side Front Desk with individual hygiene items available to guests during their stay.
